Chaplains and student wellbeing officers are inclusive of, and show respect for, all religious and non-religious beliefs and worldviews represented in the school community. All activities and events provided are non-discriminatory and equally available to all students.
The chaplaincy role involves walking with people through their journey, providing a listening ear and caring presence for those facing challenges. With parental consent, the chaplain can provide ongoing emotional and spiritual support in the form of one-on-one appointments. The chaplain plays a vital role within the holistic support team and compliments other services such as those offered by the Guidance Officer or Youth Support Coordinator.
Services offered:
- Social, emotional, and spiritual support that may have a religious and/or spiritual component
- Emergency relief such as food packages, care packages, and referral to support services
- Community networking and connections – linking you to the support required.
Accessibility:
- Wednesday to Friday (9am - 3pm) and may be contacted via the school office, email, or mobile during work hours. Parents wishing to speak to the chaplain must make appointments in advance at the main administration desk or by phoning 07 3432 1222

- Ipswich Assist: Ipswich assist has a compassionate team who will meet with you when crisis hits and assess the best way to help. It might be as simple as providing a parcel of food, or organising to help with food vouchers if clients qualify. We may feel that there another organisation that can also help and we well refer you there. - Ipswich Housing and Support Services- provides supported emergency accommodation for single women and families with children in their care, for a limited specified time frame, assistance and advocacy, information & support, with underlying issues to current housing crisis. - St Vincent De Pauls Ipswich Family Accommodation Support Services- help with accommodation and support to find permanent accommodation. Services include: temporary accommodation 12weeks, access to support worker with regular visits, assessment of your current situation, and help with creating plans for housing, health, and schooling, emotional support. Referrals for housing, Centrelink, counselling, legal information, childcare, schools, health, women's network, men's counselling, and support groups, transport to appointments and lice skills including budgeting, self-esteem, parenting, ,meal planning and recreation.
