Art Extension is open to students from Years 7 - 12 who wish to explore and expand their Visual Arts skills. The group generally meets one lunch hour per week, but may need to meet occasionally after school in order to meet a project deadline.
The first project each year for our Art Extension group is to plan and paint a giant white mask in a given theme for the Ipswich Festival. These masks are then displayed on the main street of Ipswich near St Paul’s Church for the duration of the festival.
Other major community or in-school projects are assessed and completed on a case by case basis, depending on the school calendar and students’ and teachers’ commitments.
