It is with pleasure that we welcome you to the Redbank Plains State High School community.
Redbank Plains State High School has been at the very heart of the local community for over thirty years. We are proud of our achievements, our programs and the positive relationships we build with students, parents and the community. It’s an outstanding school, with great people working together to make incredible things happen.
The school offers a broad Academic Pathway to tertiary study and Vocational Pathways to TAFE and employment. Signature academic programs include the “Sirius” selective-entry academic extension classes in the core curriculum of Junior Secondary, the Nebular STEM program ('STEM' stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and sporting excellence programs in Volleyball and Soccer.
Specialised facilities allow state of the art learning to take place in science laboratories, catering kitchens, trade workshops and performance spaces. The school is a partner in the WesTEC Trade Training Centre where industry level facilities ensure students have a head-start on entry to the skilled trades. Multiple sporting fields allow a range of sports to be played to the highest school level and an attractive campus enhances student welfare.
We invite you and your family to become active participants in our school and look forward to working with you and sharing in your child’s learning and school experiences.
The school has high expectations of student engagement, attendance, compliance with the dress code and behaviour, both on campus and in the community. It is committed to equity of outcomes and social justice and believes education enables both social and economic enhancement and ensures social cohesion.
How can we enrol our child?
Primary students in our local primary schools are visited as part of a comprehensive Transition to High School process. During these visits enrolment packages are handed out to students who are intending to come to Redbank Plains State High School. Part of this comprehensive transition involves a Transition Day in the last weeks of the school year for all students enrolled for the following year, and Orientation Week in the first week of high school.
To secure admission to the school, both a parent/guardian and the student are required to attend an enrolment interview and submit all necessary enrolment documents.
How can we find out more?
Discovery tours are held during the year for prospective families to experience first-hand the school at work. More information and how to register for our next tour can be found on the website,
