Community Liaison Officer

National Partnership funding has allowed for the 

employment of a Community Liaison Officer (CLO). The CLO’s core focus is the improvement of student attendance and to endorse Education Queensland’s “Every Day Counts” strategy. The CLO works closely with other support staff, the Deputy Principals and the community to increase and maintain student attendance.

Services Offered:

  • Collate attendance data and monitor attendance on a daily basis

  • Contact with parents/caregivers regarding absences

  • Support students and families to access support services within the school

  • Promote and develop links between the school and greater community

Accessibility:

Monday to Friday (9am-3pm) and can be contacted via the school office.  Appointments must be made in advance and can be made at the main administration desk or by phoning 07 3432 1222.

The Spark their Future​ website is for parents of teenagers who are struggling to stay engaged in school or learning. It is regularly updated with practical ideas, tips and advice.

The We the Differents​ website is for teenagers struggling to stay engaged in school or learning. It provides information, tips and experiences to help youth make the most of their education, find support and options.
