At Redbank Plains State High, parents can expect two main expenses per year for each student: the stationery list and the student resource scheme.

The Student Resource Scheme (SRS) fee helps to cover the cost of textbooks, equipment and items used by students in the classroom. This fee is the same for all students by year level, ensuring equal access to all subjects.

Joining the SRS offers excellent value. For instance, a single textbook can cost over $260 in Junior Secondary and $390 in Senior Secondary. When you add in consumables, software licenses, and other resources, students receive over $650 in value for Junior Secondary and $800 for Senior Secondary, per year. Yet, the cost to families is just $275 for Junior students and $325 for Senior students, which works out to approximately $1.37 and $1.62 per day. (Dated 2024).

Student Resource Scheme Fees - Per Student

  • Years 7 -  $275.00

  • Year 8 - $275.00

  • Year 9 - $275.00

  • Year 10 - $325.00

  • Years 11 & 12 - $325.00

Participation in the SRS is crucial for your student’s success and is great value for the resources it provides!

Participation in the scheme is entirely voluntary, and parents can choose to purchase books and resources separately from a retailer, if they prefer.

Our compulsory laptop program extends across all year levels, Years 7 - 12. Students can either bring their own device or rent one from the school for $200 annually. Laptops are essential for modern learning, and they ensure students have continuous access to resources and assignments.

Note: Students must be fully financial, with no outstanding payments or debts, to participate in Gala Interschool Sports Days, the Year 12 Formal, purchase a Year 12 jersey/jacket, and some other additional school activities.

Keep up-to-date with school fees
(Student Resource Scheme)

When a student's records are financial, it means that there are no outstanding payments or debts owed to the school, or an arranged repayment plan is in place for any outstanding balance.

In future, Redbank Plains State High School will define students' financial records as being up-to-date by having:
  • Recognised payment plan (BPOINT or Centrepay) that will clear fees by September of the current year.
  • Beginning of Term 2: a minimum of 1/3 of the current year's school fees paid, with no other items outstanding.
  • Beginning of Term 3: a minimum of 2/3 of the current year's school fees paid, with no other items outstanding.
  • Beginning of Term 4: All fees must be paid.

With family budgets getting tighter, the Student Office team can help you get ahead of your school fees with tailored payment plans (via BPOINT or Centrepay) for all of your education contributions. Please contact the Student Office on 3432 1222, (press option 3), for more information or email: studentoffice@redbankplainsshs.eq.edu.au
