On September 4th, Redbank Plains State High School arranged for Member for Bundamba, Mr. Lance McCallum MP to officially open the school’s state-of-the-art Virtual Reality (VR) Studio.
Redbank Plains State High School proudly announces its ground-breaking collaboration with Bentley Park College in Cairns and technology solutions provider DATA 3 to usher in a new era of innovative teaching and learning in Ipswich. This partnership has resulted in the creation and implementation of an advanced Virtual Reality (VR) learning studio within the school which encompasses both junior and senior subjects, creatively engaging students in classroom experiences.
Recognising the potential of immersive technological opportunities in education for students, Redbank Plains State High School embarked on a transformative journey in collaboration with Bentley Park College. Drawing upon Bentley Park College's expertise in developing virtual reality (VR) classrooms across a range of subjects, the two educational institutions joined forces to create a cutting-edge learning studio that engages students in new and exciting ways at the high school.
DATA 3, a leader in providing transformative technology solutions, played a pivotal role in this collaboration by providing the VR hardware and overseeing the setup of the studio at Redbank Plains State High School. This strategic partnership ensured that the VR learning platform was seamlessly integrated into the school's curriculum, enhancing the overall educational experience for both teachers and students.
The VR Studio represents a significant leap forward in educational innovation, offering students an immersive and engaging learning experience that goes beyond traditional classroom boundaries. The studio is equipped with the latest virtual reality technologies, enabling students to immerse themselves in locations and situations to gain a deeper understanding of complex concepts.
