The "Away for the Day" implementation includes mobile phone pouches for every student. We're gearing up for a school-wide rollout in the coming days! Starting soon, students will be required to stow their phones in these pouches upon entering campus, ensuring a focused and distraction-free learning environment.
Here are the key details:
- Distribution: Pouches will be distributed to all students in the upcoming days.
- Lock and Unlock: Students can lock their pouches upon entry and use the classroom magnets to unlock them at the end of the school day (end of Period 4).
- Personalisation: Students are to to label their pouch with their full name!
- Replacement: Families are responsible for replacing lost pouches, so let's keep track of them together.
Effective From: Term 1, 2024, as part of a state-wide initiative by the Department of Education Queensland.
