After graduating in November 2023, Likisone wasted no time in seizing opportunities to boost his career. In the very first week following his graduation, he eagerly signed up with Link and Launch and attended his first job club.
Without skipping a beat, Likisone embarked on an exhilarating journey.
Thanks to the invaluable support of Back to Work funding initiative, he achieved a significant milestone by completing his forklift certification in December 2023. This not only expanded his skill set but also opened doors to a multitude of local employment prospects.
Fuelling his determination, Likisone actively participated in four Link and Launch-facilitated job clubs at the Redbank Plains Community Centre, harnessing every opportunity for personal and professional growth. His commitment and hard work paid off, as he successfully secured employment that carried him through the festive season, spanning Christmas and New Year’s.
But that’s not the end of this success story. Likisone recently reached out with more great news: he has now secured a full-time position, marking a monumental achievement in his career—less than 3 months after graduation. Overflowing with enthusiasm, he expressed his excitement about the promising future that lies ahead.
