Heads of Department - Student Wellbeing

​​Role: Introducing our dedicated team of Heads of Department Wellbeing! Formerly serving as our school Deans, their roles to focus solely on student wellbeing.

Our HODs are deeply committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all students. Their core focus revolves around enhancing student behaviour both within and beyond the classroom, aligning with our REAL expectations and the Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students. By working closely with other support staff and Deputy Principals, they actively seek solutions and implement strategies to improve student engagement and behaviour.

Here's a glimpse into the services offered by our Heads of Department – Student Wellbeing:

  • Proactive and Reactive Behaviour Management: Our HODs are equipped to handle both proactive measures to prevent behavioural issues and reactive strategies to address incidents effectively.
  • Support for School Staff: Our HODs extend their expertise and support to school staff, ensuring they have the resources and assistance needed to address student behaviour effectively.
  • Monitoring and Re-establishing Student Goals: They closely monitor student progress and behaviour, working to re-establish and reinforce student goals and expectations to promote growth and development.
  • With their dedication and expertise, our Heads of Department – Student Wellbeing play a vital role in creating a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for all students.
  • Support for Students and Families: They provide invaluable support to students and their families, offering guidance and assistance in navigating engagement challenges and behavioural incidents.

Monday to Friday and can be contacted via the school office.  Appointments must be made in advance and can be made at the main administration desk or by phoning 07 3432 1222
